I have a D3l 1986 model and would like to try and obtain a replacement mesh grill for the combustion chamber.Would any of you good people have any clues where I might source this?

If you mean the mesh filter with the small tag contact your local Eber Stealer. They should put one in the post !

If only it was that easy!Local dealer cant supply the part as its such an early model and apparently back then the whole heat exchanger would be replaced by a re-furbished exchanger.The gauze on this model goes 360 degress around the mouth of the combustion chamber.Guess I am grasping at straws! Thanks.

In that case give eber are ring. based in ringwood hampshire and talk to someone in there technical / service department. I've always found them very helpful. they might even have one knocking about !

LSUK can usually supply Eber parts Lucas Industries moter factors as was.

Got a new one from e-bay for £7.50 including postage. Just make sure you e-mail to ensure genuine Eber part before purchase. Easy to fit but a struggle to get old one out which has to be destroyed to do so. The old one was really coked up. Now it starts better and less blue smoke.
