LPG refills
The last Butagaz Cube I bought in Bonifacio was €6.80, about 50% of the price for the comparable 907 Camping Gaz cylinder, and that was for 6 kg, not 2.75.
I have been just getting my Camping Gaz refilled at the local depots in Croatia - 24 kuna at the depot, 40 kuna at the marinas, that's £2.25 and £3.88 respectively.
Camping gaz 907 exchange bottles in Italy are between €18-12, refills about 1/2 that price, in Malta refills are about £M4.00 (£6.00 in UK money).
This all reminds me of Eric Balke, who had a kit which allowed him to go along to the local road-vehicle LPG pump and fill his gas bottles - he reckoned that cost about 20% of "official" refills, in the UK the cost of refilling your 907 bottle would be about £4.40.
Perhaps a referral to the UK Monopolies Commission would not come amiss.
