Hello,
I am looking for the schematics for the Easy Reef in mast furling as we want to replace the lines, they are very old and worn. Our boat didn’t come with any details on this system, and I haven’t been able to find anything online.

Thank you.
Shelley

I may have the same set up. I have no paperwork either, but I took it apart this year and reassembled without too much bother. Put up a photo of yours and if it's the same I'll post instructions..

Hopefully you can see the pictures I just attached, sorry I am new to this and just figuring things out!
Yes that looks like my system.

When I bought the boat it was hard to get the sail out and just a bit easier to get it back in, the previous owner reckoned it was a mast head issue.

In fact the mast head has nothing to cause the system to jam. It's just the top of a foil, like a fore-sail roller reffing foil, that protrudes through a hole in a top piece on the the two cheeks that are fixed to the mast.

The screws about the base are what holds it together. If you remove the sail, and tie the top swivel to where the tack is fixed, you can use the halyard to take the weight of the system.

Then remove the screws and the whole lot can be dropped down. Out of the aluminium framework. This makes it easy to spin it around and to clean it.

The only hard part is getting the top of the foil to return to the center hole at the mast head.

After taking mine apart, I found that just hosing the torlon/delrin balls with a fresh water hose and spraying them with washing up liquid releases so much sludge that everything was freed up.

After cleaning them out and spinning the bearings I sprayed them with silicone spray...

System works perfectly now in all winds I can get the sail in without a winch if I am feeling energetic, although I prefer to winch it in under tension from the out-haul to get a tight roll.

I also leave off the tension in the halyards when leaving the boat so that the bearings in the swivels are not being squeezed.

Feel free to ask anything else that occurrs to you.

Wow thank you so much for all that info! So kind of you to take the time. I will show it to my husband and we will give it a try. We will probably wait until we are done sailing at this point as we only have a few weeks left. Thx again😊
