Does anyone know who is the new owners of Eastlands Boatyard , Hamble, as I understand it had been sold to a local boat company in the area.

Let's hope they don't make too many changes to it. Is Tm still there ? or Have they moved in now As I believe contacts have been exchanged now.

Ok, I do hope so for all the berth holders , unfortunately I am not able to say what my interest as its confidential , but I hope that is the case and it goes smoothly for everyone in the future.

I guess the plan is to leave the boatyard for now but to convert the site including Tim's house and the field next door into a production line to support their strategy of moving to higher-value tenders.

The marina is unlikely to change in the short term - the new owners suggested gently improving it - but it may be impacted by construction work. Beyond that, the marina's future may well be determined by the person they hire to replace Tim - who was not just a good manager but worked extremely hard himself. He was obviously good at taking care of his business for 19 years! The other factor is whether the boat and car parking area will be required by the factory and/or will remain available as part of the marina yard.

Let's hope Pascoe can be successful with the factory and running the boat yard... fingers crossed.

Yes, having only known Tim a short while I know he was with Fairline and the dealer for them at PJ Yachts who used to be at Port solent, , and again I can't say too much. As I don't want to reveal myself or my business , but he devoted a big part of his life developing the Marna, from 2001 I think and I know he will be very sad to have to move on , and he done an amazing job of the Marina and the business park with incredible hard work and graft, . and he will miss the boatyard very much. Short term it will be fine , but long term I see big changes with the type of company they are . They might struggle with planning on the field, but let's hope it can be manged as well as Tim has done in the future.

Massive changes I’m told . Tim’s bungalow being demolished to build office block , all tennants given notice to move out .
Nick being kept on to run moorings .

I am glad you said that Volvo Paul , rather than me. And your absolutely right. I was not prepared to say earlier. All the tenants will go, as they will move there fit out production in the business park. Which is a great shame for the tenants. And if your worried about getting your flybridge cruiser under bridge at different tide times, I would not worry about that , half of the moorings will go to a load of pig ugly tenders unfortunately. So there will be changes to the moorings, as volvo Paul is completely right about the rest of it.

Lol, starting to get angry now , excuse me, but to tear down the buglalow is a complete waste, its been built very well by Tim, and I will know , as I have been in it and its very nice inside.

Surprised that they are going to keep new tenders on the moorings as usually new are only launched for commissioning as at Universal.

That’s only the Chinese whispers I heard but no doubt a planning search would bring it up .
