Heard it reported that we are being "discouraged" from using the East Swin and that buoyage will shortly be removed and replaced in the Middle Deep. I'll have to get used to another trade route then but had grown quite attached to that route up to the Whitaker.
Reason is that Foulness are getting more explosive or summat.

I think the problem rather is that the East Swin is being encroached by the bank that separates it from the Middle Deep. I tend to enter the East Swin and cross over to the Middle Deep as soon as possible so as not to hold my breath going over the bank further south.
