East Mersea BBQ

Sorry I can't join you. I've got a buugered knee (bursitis) which I am trying to get better for sailing next week.

I've only done 600 miles this year so a trip to Mersea would have helped the count :p

Have a good evening.

what location is it at eg:- coppers beach ? I am new to sailing and have a little westerly 25 and me and my wife are members of Marconi sailing club, and the boat is their at the moment but also have use of a mooring up west mersea, from the previous posts from last years event this looks like it is a light harted get together so if I am about and can get the tides I would like to stop off and meet a few locals . do you beach up, stop on site, or go back to mooring 's , sail back in the dark , ect ect

Hi Paul its Meresa Stone @ East Mersea, the Pyefleet ( 1/2 a mile away) is a very quiet & safe anchorage with some moorings as well. I expect to be anchored there Saturday night.
