Have returned today 5 days early from a foray up the East Coast from darn 'ere in Kent. Wot wevver we 'ad. Got to the Deben for a couple of days, dived back to the Orwell, wevver still not conducive to peaceful family cruising, nipped back to Brit'l'sea and after a conference last night elected to come back home, which we did starting at 0500 today.
And the first bit of that was rotten, out there over the Spitway at 0630, 22 knots on the nose and peeing with rain. At least we got an angle down the Swin, charged down there with a few yards of sail hung out until another plod into the wind across the shipping lanes.
Hey ho, try again in August maybe...
One achievement, we sampled the Kovolam at Brit'l'sea, crackin' meal and we shall certainly be going there again.
