no one will get this Bridge
I can see the usual suspects going in to "De Kamel".....Is the other one the barrier north of Dordrecht...name escapes me, despite having spent hours waiting for the lift.
Well, I can say that i've motored through, rowed through, swum under, walked over, cycled over and driven over that one!
We've done Ramsgate to Nieuwpoort a few times but this will be the first big crossing - in one go from Harwich to Oostende. I know it's only 77 miles but you're out of sight of land for a lot of that. Unlike our first 'big' channel crossing when we could see both sides for about 75% of the time!
It's nice that the weather window needs to be quite small but if we went down to the Swale it would be a 2 day trip.
That 5.15am photo just makes me wish it was July now.
Sure? We thought of leaving at 2am to arrive 7pm. Good news though if it's only 14
Hi PeeGeeSuddenly came to me!!
Saw you in Blankenberg early July. You were moored at the end of the pontoon. I just remembered your big white boat........looked nothing like a fisher!! tee hee
Hi PeeGee

Thats some boat!
Re grevelingenmeer. Rightly or wrongly we always think of it as a "grown up" Veersemeer. There are more harbours to visit or victual, more islands to moor on, and generally more room. I only draw just over a meter so depth is not a problemfor me, but there are some pretty big Dutch boats swaning around so should'nt be too much of a problem for you.
