Hi Nas.

I am unable to upload the pix but I took some lovely shots at the Chatham Festival of the Sea over the weekend, not least of my rarely seen spinnaker which we had up for six and a half hours on the way home and only took down by the Pye End! I thought Brittlesea might be a bit crowded over the weekend and so it appears, tho as pleasant as ever.

Regards, Mudhook

It is a view that I have had the privalege of seeing many times on returning to my mooring. A beautifull place. I was in the Deben myself at Ramsholt. Another of Gods own acres.

I think you should all stop going on about it. Next thing is that crowd from the Solent will be round here filling all the pubs with radio checks.

You could'nt get Solent on the radio from the east coast.

Besides, looking at those photos you've got no wind up there. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Perhaps the south coast sailors may be less envious if we explain to them that there was an illegal rave at Ramsholt for most of the bank holiday, which I could hear from my mooring at Felixstowe Ferry on the Sunday night. The police helicopter was much in evidence as well.

Sadly 1500 tanked up ravers proved to much for the Suffolk Constabulary attempting to break up the party, causing them to withdraw and allow it to continue.

Nice pics, brings back lots of memories of sailing on the Blackwater and surrounding areas. It's 10 years since we moved round from Bradwell to the Solent - still cannot get the mud stains off the oilies though

Hi /<

Not like you to miss a rave.

"Lord Bawdsey" doesn't exist - the family who built Bawdsey Manor, the Quilters, I believe now live in the rather nice house, with boathouse, overlooking Methersgate and Troublesome Reach.
