Looking at the profiles there are several of us in the Notts, Leics, Northants and S. Yorks area. How about a get together some time?

Plenty of good pubs in Newark and the A1 is nearby. Paul

Newark's Ok for me and anywhere else from South yorks (around junction 32ish M1 something) to Notts/derby (junction 25ish M1) but we don't seem to be making much progress yet.
How about meet at the Castle wood (Travel inn) at J28 and we could go and find a local pub in Alreton or Mansfield??
Just some suggestions.

Newark seems to be a common suggestion, and agreeable to most....

There is a nice hotel/bar just of the A1 at Markham Moor/Newark called "forgotten temporarily.... need to look /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif "... its signposted right off the A1 when heading North.....

I'll pm StugeronSteve, and see if he's up for it, as the thread instigator, and then perhaps suggest a date?

I guys. The thread seemed to die, what with Christmas and all. Yes, I'm still up for it and, being stuck in the middle of the region, I'm happy with anywhere. There is a good pub near me, Nelson and Railway, Kimberley, 2M from M1 J26.

Wednesday nights are great for me, but anything can be arranged.

If J26 suits for an inaugural meet I'll sort, then we can have future meets around the area if successful.

A Wednesday is OK with me. Perhaps someone should start a new thread with one of these new polls where we vote for a venue. Seems Junction 26 M1 and Newark on A1 are two options at the moment. Anyone know how to set up a poll? Paul
