Dyneema for lashing guard rails?

Out of interest, what knots would you use for this purpose?
On dyneema? If you splice it, it retains it's breaking strength, any knot will reduce it by 50% or more depending on how tight the bend radius is.

Probably better off using a different type of rope.

I thought the point of using lashings instead of bottle screws was to enable them to be cut in an emergency? Not easy with dyneema, easy peasy with polyester
I'm lashing the ends just to get the length right as I'm fitting pelican clips for ease of getting our dogs on and off. I'm not worried about cutting as the pelican clips are pretty much instant.

We have used full length dyneema guard "wires" for years now. No hassle, no problems and they are incredibly resilient.

Spliced at both ends and used for hiking they have proven themself to be more than safe, and a bit comfier

Its comfier but they should be hiking harder than that!

Use the dyneema. it will be perfectly fine
Can I have William back, please?
