I've just finished reading Dwight Long's excellent account of sailing halfway around the world 'Sailing all Seas in the Idle Hour'. I was curious to know what happened to Dwight after this adventure, ie what he did during WW2 and after (assuming that he was still around). I've searched on the internet for any biographical information but I can't find anything. Any info appreciated.

After his six year voyage, Dwight returned home and immediately went to the Pacific as a war film documentary maker.. He died in July 2001 at Santa Monica, California.
