Any ideas or anyone know where I can find out?

Some can some can't. It'll be in the setup menu settings. The dvd cinema thing we've got has it in the preference settings. Should be in the book somewhere. Not seen a Thompson machine. If they're the same as the TV's its probably made in France.

Depends which model it is, but try this:

1. Open the disc tray.
2. Insert any DVD but do not close the disc tray.
3. On the front panel, press and hold the Eject, Forward Search and OK buttons. Note that this may take several attempts to achieve correctly.
4. The onscreen display will refresh twice and the disc tray will close.
5. Release the Eject, Forward Search and OK buttons on the front panel.

Hi

Virtually all DVD players can be changed to full multi region players ( making DVD's cheaper and can get latest releases quicker) takes a few mins only.

Go to www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk and look up 'hacks' on there they will tell you how, step by step, to change any particular DVD player to full multi region, its only a case of pushing a few of the buttons in the right order

hope this helps

Been too busy fixing things to reply.

Multi region would be the ideal bet as I'll spend half my time in the caribbean. I'll find the model number and post it next time I'm on.

Thanks all

Chris
