DULL OR CHALKY HULL??

We are getting a whole raft of tossers joing the forums for the express purpose of selling whatever tat they have to proffer.
It's not even as though you'll come back on again as your so busy joining other boat forums to add to your marketing push. If you do come back, try joining in a discussion and we can explain the obvious drawbacks of your elixir.

Oh. Upper case postings are considered to be in poor taste, so your sales efforts are wasted.

Having had the experience of using PoliGlow. Anyone interested in my findings (not good) please PM, I'll be happy to talk to anyone on the subject.

This Aug the boat comes out of the water and I will be using traditional methods employing hard work!

Dont PM , if they want to sell their wonder product direct through these forums (fori ?) then any feed back by genuine users should also be posted up front and direct, for all to see.

PS "fora", though if you look at the top of this illustrious site you'll see "Forums

[/ QUOTE ] The plural of forum, meaning a meeting or medium for an exchange of views is "forums" also if meaning a court or tribunal.
It is, however, "fora" if meaning public squares or marketplaces used for judicial or other business in ancient Roman cities.

I just had to look it up in various dictionaries following your comments....... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The answers are not consistent and I suspect that both forms of the plural are "acceptable". One site implied that "forums" was an American usage, which supports what you are saying.
However, nowhere can I find the distinction between the different plurals being appropriate for internet use versus the "Roman" use....but I'm sure you'll find something /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I suspect that it is just another example of changing use, with "forums" becoming more widely used. Personally, I think it sounds better; "fora" seems clumsy. It probably means that we are both correct.

Whatever the case, "fori" doesn't seem too popular.

OK I dont have a problem with that, see my post on Captain Haddocks post, on page 2.

I'm going to be away from the forum 'till Tue, have to rush now, but then I'll give a full report, just plain facts of my experience.
