Dufour 35 washboard

Very easy to get made by any specialist in acrylic such as a signmaker. Nothing special or "marine" about it. You have a choice of either acrylic (perspex) or stronger polycarbonate in a choice of thicknesses and colours of tint. Just give the dimensions or a pattern to the supplier and they will cut and finish the edges for you. Worth shopping around as prices can vary quite significantly. Also (at least in the UK) there are firms that do it mail order. Several advertise in the classifieds in PBO.

If you have the original bring it along as a pattern. If not, make a pattern in ply or hardboard. My Dufour Classic 30 had a one piece washboard and when I broke it I had the new one made up as a two piece. If you do this, ensure that the joint is made slanted outwards or rebated, to keep the rain out.
