Dufour 35 1980 factory teak deck?

Hi Guys,

First post go easy on me

Just wondering if anyone knows if the dufour 35 ever came with factory teak decks, also does anyone know if the coaming on the deck under the boom has a continuous balsa laminate to the deck? The boat im looking at had a liferaft screwed to the deck, now there seems to be a softspot on the top of the coaming and i worry that it has gone down into the deck. The deck has a thick teak on it so i can tell if its soft of not.

Hi Mat and welcome to the forum.
Sorry you haven't had a response to your request yet, which is a bit surprising.
Perhaps knowledge of manufacturing history of the Dufour 35 is thin on the ground, but I am sure there are many here that can comment in general terms about such problems with decks.

I have seen many, but none with a teak deck. Mine had many many soft patches in the deck and all of the seats in the cockpit, but a great boat,
