Dual Engine Controls

Whats the best / cheapest way to fit dual controls (33c cables)
At the moment I have the control by the helm in the wheelhouse but would like to have them outside as well.

You need the dual control box plus another set of controls and cables to suit. See the Vetus catalogue page 59

You will need a total of 7 type 33c cables plus combiner boxes to throttle and gear control and a change over lever and the second control at your outside station.

Thats the setup I have mine are Teleflex but Vetus also do then but Vetus work a little different to Teleflex.

If you're going to put a Teleflex or VETUS Dual-Station, make sure of two things:
Protect everything against corrosion. We have stuff called Tectyl which is absolutely THE BOMB.
The other non-negotiable is to use Low-Friction cables.

I have dual station, one drives the next drives the engine. Pain in the neck. On the last boat I had dual, each going straight to the engine. Less backlash, and if one fails the other doesn't. Quite easy to rig with a long stainless bolt on throttle and gearbox, two cables with ring ends, you can get tandem flipover cable clamps no problem. No need for the complex stuff they recommend.
