My new to me boat did not come with a cover so I spent £57 on a Ducksback one from ebay. I was not expecting much but when it arrived I am very very pleased with it. As advised I bought the smaller one based on the size of my rib after measuring and it fits perfect. It is sort of a stretchy material and breathable. It is quick to put on and off and fits my boat so that water will not pond.

In short if you have no cover try one of these. For the price why wouldn't you. Many sizes made

Time will tell how long it will last. If I get more than 2 seasons I will be happy enough. 3 would make it excellent value

I bought a Ducksback cover for my Ribeye TS350 last year, it fits really well, I thought it was cheap enough to replace every year or two but it is holding up really well. I bought the outboard cover too and it serves as a useful storage bag for the main cover when removed, great buy.

Thanks for your post I was just looking at an inflatable cover to stop the dinghy filling with water on the davits.

Yep - I was leaning on it last Sunday (when chatting to you) and at the time, I thought it looked really good.

18 months ago, I bought a couple of the cheaper blue covers from ebay - one on and one as a spare.
The one that has been used is showing signs of fading but (as yet) no UV deterioration.
Having seen yours (the silver material) I would definitely go with those if/when I order again.

I made a series of small holes (reinforced with duct tape) in my dinghy cover to allow the water to pass through and out the drain hole. To me the cover is for uv protection only

I was quoted a ridiculous price to have a new fitted cover made for my Ribeye so I thought what the heck, I will try one. I was really pleased with it and the silver seems to work well..... One of those very rare exceptions where no 'Marine' tag mark-up is applied.

Agreed. They are excellent.
We have had one on the 8hp yam, on the rib kept on the davits.
Keep the cover topped up with fabsil waterproofer. Keeps the water running off it like.....well a ducks back !
