Can anyone tell me what its like drying out alongside next to the Tidemill at Woodbridge?

We've been into the tidemill marina before but I quite fancy drying out my little Hunter just for the fun of it. We've not done it before but other Europa owners have told me its quite doable, in spite of being a fin keeler.

Can anyone tell me what the bottom is like there?
Any idea of the drying height? (We draw 1 metre)
The wall looks sloped but its hard to judge how much from photos?
Any charges or restrictions?

Thanks!
Jon

I've never gone alongside myself, as I have a bilge keel but walk past often..
Its free for three days and there is electric if you can find someone with the key....
The wall does slope but not greatly (although it looks more in the photo).
Oh - its mud mud mud of course! I just dont know how much.
More info and pictures....

You could always phone and ask the harbourmaster.

Thanks. I made a few phone calls and the chap in the link is no longer the voluntary harbourmaster.

I was told there used to be six feet of water there but its since silted up. I don't know if that was at springs or neaps...

Any idea what sort of depth to expect there? Or how long I'd be aground? (We draw a metre)

Went Alongside a few years ago. Finding channel in / out was tricky, but no real problems. I would go down at low tide and take photos next time. Tidemill suggested a donation to the mill in exchange for mooring.
Agree with suggestion of plank to get ashore.
We draw just under 1m.

Go for it!
