I really ought to update my 20 year old VHF qualification. Has anyone any recommendations for courses in Suffolk? Flashy is not important; value for money is.

Try your local RNLI, perhaps via the RYA site.

Did mine at the Nottage Institute at Wivenhoe.

I would have no hesitation to highly recommend Sara Hopkinson of Pin Mill Cruising. She's writen several course books on the subject too.

I did mine several years ago and was great, have also done a 1st Aid course with her.
