I am looking for a pair of drying legs for my Merry Fisher 625. I know they are used a lot in the CI and N France but I wondered if anyone knew where I could get them in the UK?
Divemaster1, you are correct... she will take the ground with engine up providing that it is soft mud so she can settle upright. She has a small skeg that runs the length of the keel and a fair slope on it so if the ground was firm I am sure she would be tilted over a fair bit. That certainly would be OK in an emergency but I would probably fall out of my bed and cooking, even making tea, might be impossible!
Kawasaki, I have PM PDeLaMare but I am hoping to find some where a little nearer to home!
Keelguard is a good idea but with the skeg I am not sure if it will fit easily... I will check when next at the boat.
Arny would do well to ger a set of these, they are a tad expensive but are excellent quality. For a small power boat a set of the cheaper, fixed length, legs should work well. I mainly use mine for laying up (with props as well for extra peace of mind) saves having the bother of a cradle and you take them with you.
