Can someone help me in finding dry berths in northern italy? The system is working well in France where they are called "port a sec". Do Italians use this system as well?:)

I'm not sure what "port a sec" is. If it's the boat being kept on a cradle and lifted in when you want to use the boat ? You could try Marina Hannibal at Monfalcone. I think we were offered similar by them but took a permanent berth instead. It's Italy though so I doubt it will be at a reasonable cost. Ryanair fly in from Stansted and the airport (Trieste) is near by (20mins drive) .

Italy is far less developed for leisure boating than the other European Med countries.

The only 4 places I've seen Port á Sec in Italy are Varrazze, up the Tiber past Ostia, Gaeta and Monfalcone.

As it's over 2 years since I was last around there, things could well have changed especially with regard to prices, which even then were prohibitive.
