The boat has been cleared out and contents in temporary store. So much stuff! 12 years of ownership and it's a cruiser/racer without the huge storage of a cruiser. God knows what a larger hull would have let me tuck away.
Previously I have driven through France using motorways. I see by Via Michelin that I could avoid the hefty tolls by alternative routes. How sensible is that? I am a 60/65mph driver. Toddle along. Empty down, full back.
Edinburgh to Calais in one day. Leave Calais in the morning and get down to Port Napoleon later that day. Probably stay Calais before ferry back to Edinburgh next day.
Always open to suggestions.
