The Plastimo Transocean ISO 4-p type T1A < 24H has been in a cradle hanging on the pushpit since the start in 2017.
This year I have a new solar panel arch with a sofa integrated in the pushpit, the welder suggested the cradle to be in 45 degrees under the sofa.

I tried to mount the liferaft in a safe way considering the drain hole and the impact of the ”sharp” metal band.

My believe is that the old hanging orientation and the new with 45 degrees is rather equal from a drainage viewpoint.

I asked the liferaft service company if a drain hole in the lowest part of the container is required but he said no.
(The service was completed faster than I expected so my question might have been done too late for drilling an empty canister.)

Anyone heard another recommendation drilling a new drain hole?

Your diagram shows that 45 degrees is a pretty good angle for drainage....just leaving a small pocket for water to collect....hopefully nothing perishable is in that corner...is there any chance that you could put a thin tube into the drain hole and siphon it occasionally?
