I hate digital reading. I am learning to use Alibre CAD Pro & the digital online instructions are a nightmare to study. Unfortunately, the three hundred plus pages are too many to print out. If I had been working at one of my old clients offices I would have nipped in early, run a copy off on their high speed printers & got a secretary to book bind them for me.
A book is so much better. Problem is that technical stuff moves apace too fast for authors to write books & be profitable. When I started to learn Wordpress 5 years ago I bought 2 books & found them really good. But Wordpress upped the anti with blocks & the books were out of date. I have a number of books on Excel that I bought to extend my programming knowledge & even those are a little out of date.
My problem even goes to sailing. I love my charts, but there are those that would no longer consider investing in such old technology. To me a chart plotter is the work of the devil & has caused me grief more than once.
