Heading down Channel next week so phoned Dover marina to see what latest state of play is.
Looks like Granville and tidal are still the options but there's a kink in the North and South. Summat about buoys and traffic lights; bear to port then slalom to starboard.
Very helpful staff on phone but thought worth asking if it as straightforward as described.

The new "kink" is not obvious as you enter. There is a new cargo wharf with two huge cranes on it and the entrance to the channel is to the West(left) of that. Otherwise all as before.

Do ensure that you obtain permission from port control before entering the channel to the marina and before leaving the marina when outbound

They tend to get a bit peeved with people who don't cos the channel is now too narrow for two way working

Once inside the harbour and going past the cruise terminal on your port side it is not obvious where the entrance to the wick channel is. This pdf (link below) shows the dogleg. I find Dover port control very helpful on the vhf, just keep them informed and follow their instructions.

Above advice is good. I went down to take a look at the new marina today, it looks completely ready though not yet open. We are waiting with anticipation for the first visitor to head in there 'by mistake' rather than follow the now convoluted route to the Tidal and Granville basins.
