Hi Chris.

Yes , i'm there and always down on the boat, ya welcome for a coffee anytime you see life ;-)

So far , this year i have got out every day that i needed to, and only have cancelled 2 trips. ONE coz of bad viz and second got out so far and a squall came though and swells were to high for divers.
Apart from that, it's easy,,, and take it from a LOCAL, if ya want advise about using the western entrance, ask a local ,, not some know it all , thats been here a couple of times .

I;m from Folkestone and a lot of our more wealthy club members are planning to move to Dover Its a very convinient marina for channel hopping but the shipping lanes and the ferries leave a lot to be desired the tides around the entrances can take the unwary very much by suprise Fishing is very good especially for bass but the cod arnt as plentiful as they used to be also has a very friendly yacht club

Dover is a very efficient and friendly Marina. Yes! Ferry movements get priority but once Dover Harbour radio know you and your capabilities they slot your entry and exits in very nicely. Don't know about the fishing as there's a good fish & chip shop in Dover.
