Double glazed window seals

Hi all,

I’ve done some searching, and contacted Eagle boat windows but have drawn a blank.

Our Seastream 34 has double glazed / twin pane windows. They are all completely shot and need to be overhauled, which we are keen to do ourselves.

The first three are out and came apart nicely, however we have drawn a blank on a possible supplier for the cavity seals that go between the windows.

Can anyone recommend a suitable supplier for these seals, or know a (reasonably priced) company who would overhaul them?

The frames and glass are in otherwise very good condition and replacement is not in our budget.

As an aside, these are not original windows in the boat, evidenced by the previously poorly filled holes from earlier windows and use of silicone sealant (shame) for bedding the frames to the superstructure.

Thanks.

A local double glazing company would probably do that for you. It's more than seals are needed as the gap is often filled with gas, and/or the seals have some way of extracting moisture from the air that is left in the cavity.
