Don't tell Tillergirl as he is abroad

How's a poor chap to afford a holiday in Mauritius on that sort of price! Unfair to authors!

You'll all be pleased to know it has thrown it down here all day - buckets and buckets. the Sugar is as high as an elephant's eye and all that. But it's still 29 degrees. Back to morrow so get the fires burning to warm the place up!

PS you'll be pleased to know that I have been worked like a dog out here but I have managed a meagre contribution for Gordon to help you all repay the debts he kindly opened for you!

Timing as ever. But it'shappy hour here with pretty damm good cocktails at 80 rupees (50 to the pound). End of work programme - getting plastered!

Well I was; back home now. Why do people go on long haul flights with teething kids?

That Green Island stuff - First prize to AliM in the Christmas 'where am I quiz'. Drove past the distillery yesterday morning! In 25 degrees at 7am. Ain't half cold here!

Don't suppose you'll be any kinder if I told you that a screaming brat of 18 months was teething and screaming in the next seat to me all of the 12 hours of the flight and I currently feel like - like - well I don't know what!

I'm surprised they allow such things up in the front cabin?

I was surprised by the number of v young children 'up front'! When I was the age of those parents I couldn't afford a package holiday to Benidorm!
