Dont forget to

My mainsail is fully brailed thank you. An awkward birthday invitation that we have been moaning about for months has saved us from even having to consider setting off.

Forecasters up their old tricks. Yesterday's IWF for here said 4-5 and 6 later. Today's IWF, 12 hours on, still says 6 'later'. Right now - flat calm.
However, damage is done, don't fancy 10degC, rain and a nor'easter tomorrow, so that's that. Mainsail will remain fully brailed in our berth.

For once I am on the forecasters side. Sunday and Monday pretty much spot on.
Holiwell Point - Sunday about midday just before a little mechanical problem that sent me back to BYH

Then today had a 'lovely' beat from Crouch to Brightlingsea. 25 to 30 kts most of the way (apparent wind) with 38kt prolonged gust off Colne Bar.

They were indeed although the bad stuff didn't get to Kent until nearly midday Sunday. Thereon it was b....awful.
Saturday, though, was a much quieter day than forecast.
Today we went for a nice country walk with a pub at the end of it. Seemed sensible!

I kept the mainsail fully brailed this week-end, but still ended up with a lot of wet canvas.

Took the cubs to their division camp in Belgium on Friday. Friday and Saturday were good, but the heavens opened at 3am on Sunday morning. The cub hut now looks like a Chinese laundry with 6 patrol tents, 4 dining shelters and a marquee all drying out!

At least I didn't get any mozzie bites or ticks!
