Recently I have discovered the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trusts app, Whale Track, which gives an interactive map with recent sighting reports on the West Coast including the Clyde, and an identification guide for those like me that confuse our various different types of porpoise and dolphin, and also it allows users to update sighting information.

Available from your usual app store.

More information on the Trust's web site.

Is that another submarine about to run aground ? Or just the result of a long telephoto lens:)

Dolphins on the Clyde not unusual - and plenty of porpoises, minkie whales etc.
A few years ago there were some other rarer whales who got stuck at top of Loch Long and would not exit - some concerns were expressed that could be underwater noise from the Naval bases scaring them from passing out to sea. Also had been at top of Gareloch when I was there.

It’s not an open hatch, it looks like they’ve lost the grille that should be there.

I didn't think Boeing made submarines - at least. not deliberately

Yeah weapons of mass destruction should definitely be a bit more pink.

I've a vague memory of a film about a pink submarine - late 50s, perhaps?

Ah, Operation Petticoat
