Our dog (Scrumpy) seemed very chilled this weekend...I think she approved of the new boat.

Yep, I'd say she was quite chilled snoozing away there !

Isn't it great just how adaptable and accepting they are ?

We've recently moved from a sports cruiser on the Thames to a flybridge on the coast and were a little worried in case our mutt, Holly, didn't like something about it. Turns out she just loves the new boat, perfectly happy inside and outside, loves being up on the fly and thinks the area is great as there are loads or lovely walks from the boat.

Took my dog to new boat this weekend, He did not take too well, however he had better or it could lead to arguments, I might have to take a hugh box of treats to bribe him

Our dog never really settled on our old boat so we never took her with us. But the last few times going to our new boat she has tagged along and she is quite happy. Although we are moving the boat this coming weekend away from Port Solent I have got to say it is a great place to keep a boat if you have dogs, the fields next to the marina are a wonderful place for dog walking, and our scottie's day was made when she was able to chase a goose off the field...her little legs had never moved so fast! (hence why she was crashed out in the cockpit)

Our Pets come first! Prestige oversized double helm and all round view for nosey K9 were top of the list when we were boat shopping, and a comfy sofa for when things get too hectic :)

Cats seem to love the boat too but I'm keeping the little blighters off while I can, will be taking them overseas next year tho'......

Totally true that the big decisions are made bearing the dog in mind ! one of the considerations for us moving to a flybridge, and one of the things that we now love for ourselves as well, was that there had to be dog friendly access up/down to/from the platform/cockpit/fly, and of course the master bed had to be big enough for the 3 of us !!
