Just remember when designing. You might need to get your engine out one day.
Mine unbolts. It's fixed down with 11No M8 stainless steel bolts through the mating flange.Just remember when designing. You might need to get your engine out one day.
On my Dufour 24 the bulkhead slopes forward .There are several YouTube photos of a sprayhoodI'm part way through building a little roof over my companion way. The bulkhead is on a forward angle which is great for leaning against but means when it rains, it gets in the cabin even when the hatch is shut.
I'm far too tight to buy a spray hood but want something that keeps the rain off while still being able to poke your head out of the cabin and have a look round. It will have another solar panel on top and also cover the instruments. I've already got a galvanised frame up, just need a plywood roof for it. I'll post pictures when done but I expect it to cost less than £60.

Silvers?I love my doghouse. I've hardly ever had to wear full oilskins in the 4 years I've had Sheolin. It may not be as aesthetically pleasing as some, but by god it keeps you dry when rain, spray and green water are coming over the bow.

You'll just have to save up and buy a bigger boat then. Shouldn't take you long to choose oneIf I had a big enough boat Iwoulddefinately have a dog house or even more .With automatic steering devices available there is no need to be wedded to the helm or the cockpit a lookoutcanbe from the bows the stearn or wherever. on the coasters the watch in fine weather was made from the outside even doing a bit of rust scraping or varnishing!
It’s not the buying it’s the cost of mooring and maintenance there several much bigger boats we could have afforded but being of Scottish decent it would make me weep just thinking of the running costsYou'll just have to save up and buy a bigger boat then. Shouldn't take you long to choose one![]()
