Does your boat have one of these?

Electric Scooters are great I have a couple, just don't use them in the wet and be aware of pot holes or any missing grates/ holes in the road or you could break bones or end up under a bus and killed, going fast is easy its the stopping thats the cover bit!
Because of everything you say I decided that my first scooter has full suspension, disc brakes and big knobby wheels. Unfortunately it’s so heavy I’m already thinking of a small lightweight one as a backup ??

Suspension and big knob wheels and weight will be the killer in the wet, just don’t use it, I have 365 and 365 Pro2 that we use daily in France all summer, haven’t used them here in the UK yet as you could end up with 6 points on your licence, a minimal risk but I can’t afford to take the risk but its looking likely that rules will change soon. They are so handy for getting about for short distances, they will never replace an electric bike but do have a place in local eco travel.

I don’t plan to use it in the wet! Mine has an optional seat which I think makes it much safer and comfortable for long journeys. Unfortunately the French have outlawed it! With a seat it is now a motorbike and needs a number plate etc

Just confess it was an impulse buy due to boredom and covid blues. Nobody here will be able to point a finger at you, we are all in the same boat on that score. Besides it's good every now and then to get in touch with one's feminine side and punish the plastic. Our better halves sneakily applaud the practise even if they dont admit to it. Gives them ammo.

I have been planning to have one for the past five years! Then, by miracle, the wife said I could have one, I ordered it the same day in case she changed her mind

So it was a moment of weakness on the wife's part. That has to be a strong nomination for the Best Excuse of the Year Awards. ? ?

I suspect it the same story for every boat, motorcycle and sports car bought on this forum???

No, I've braved a few arched eyebrows, some verbal beatings and even a few nights on the couch. Some things are worth it. Sort of. I did have to sell some of my motorbikes though before being banned from riding.

If i was as brave as you i would have loads of toys?????

Ya, no, but, well fine. Unfortunately these days the cost of boat ownership which was her idea by the way, keeps me on the straight and narrow. I was doing just fine with a small trailerable cuddy until she decided to tag along and took to the hobby with a vengeance. I can assure you Woman's Maths can easily outstrip and surpass Man's Maths given a full head of steam.
