Don't forget the evil witch that forced the country to introduce the tax in the first place - actually there were three evil witches; their names were ECB, IMF and EU. Make sure they're fat and ugly with plenty of warts, you want to be going for realism.

It seems to me to be a fact that non-members will benefit. What other organisation representing British sailors is doing anything at all? Far from what you suggest, it has been reiterated many times that other national organisations are teamed with the CA in talking to the Greek government representatives. I don't remember ever hearing the suggestion that non-members will be getting something for nothing, even though it may well be true. If the DEKPA and payment to port police are withdrawn (by no means announced yet!) it will surely benefit every cruiser in Greece?

Thanks for your reply to my posting , I am not being rude but if I reply we just be kicking the ball back and for and there no point , we both know what thirty or so odd people write on here isn't going to make any different , what thirty or so odd people do in the real world might . As for me This tax had made up my mind for me , a winter in the canaries sailing sounds rather good , so Greece will have to wait a bit longer before they get any more money from me , come March we slowly will make our way west .
Time for me to get back to a nice cosy night with someone in a real world .
