I hope they do as you will need one to touch them with (or not as the case may be) but you may never receive it!
I ordered a satellite TV system off them in April. I was advised by email about a week later that they had dispatched the goods, good service I thought, how wrong I was. After allowing a few days for it to be shipped to me and not receiving the goods, I called their “customer service” desk only to be told to allow another 4 or 5 days for the goods to be shipped. 7 days later, after still not receiving the goods I called again, to only get the same response, I insisted that the agent tracked the package, a few mouse clicks later, the voice came back stating it was delivered 14 days ago! When I advised that this was not the case the agent went away to check this up.
After calling a few times later the next day, I eventually had a call back to state that my goods had been turned away by Customs (as I live in the Channel Islands) and would be dispatched to me again in a few days time (now at the end of April). A couple of days later, a letter from Compass24 ... The goods you have ordered are now out of stock I was informed. No doubt an instant phone call was to take place. I asked the Call agent “it appears that the system you sent me has now been dispatched to someone else I enquired!” the response was, “well this has been a very popular product sir, and yes this happens from time to time.” I asked how long it would take for more systems to arrive, which was within a week. The agent apologised and advised that she would send the next one out via 24hr Courier. Around the 20th May I had an email....Your goods have been dispatched and a tracking number. 2 day later I checked the website.... Your goods have been delivered I was informed.....No they haven’t.... Again a call to the customer service desk first thing in the morning. The agent advised that he would look into this and call be back. Again no call, that day.
Call again the next day to have the same response, After anouther day of calls the agent stated that all they can do is email the courier and not phone them!
After a few days of this; a stern email sent by me to advise that I give up, admit defeat, please can I have my money back.

Anyone else had the same issue with this company?

I think they need to consider changing their couriers, can't remember who they are off the top of my head though.
I had similar problems with an order from Compass 24 earlier this year, got an e mail saying order despatched, and a tracking reference for internet tracking that didn't work.

A few days later when nothing had turned up, several phone calls, several different stories and eventually the goods turned up, followed a day later by a call from Compass saying they now had the definitive story and the goods hadn't actually been despatched!
My overall impression was one of a real desire to be helpful and polite, but backed up my a total lack of information.

I had similar problems earlier this year. I think they despatch from Germany to the UK, the UK staff are only a telephone call centre. And they couldn't get in touch with Germany on Fridays! Upshot was I insisted on talking to the UK manager of the call centre, he was good, returning calls when he said he would etc. But I wouldn't use them again on anything time-sensitive.

seem ok to me so far.. Always a bit curious why someone's first post on a forum is to complain about a company

Perhaps because he was a customer who had been seriously mucked about, if he kept quiet until he had something nice to say about them he would never be able to post.
What is wrong with sharing this type of information, we have had recent threads which have been effective in helping mail order companies get their act together, good for them and for their customers.

You're way off track.
It's nothing to do with coming on here and giving a company a kicking if they deserve it.

It's the fact that it's their very first post on these forums, which quite frankly, in internet world, is very suspect.

So you have to be a fully paid up member of the clique to complain about poor service?

It is only natural that someone who doesn't post is fired up to make their first post when they're annoyed about something like bad service.

Let people make a judgement about the poster's autheticity and the number of supportive or contradictory posts rather than trying to bully a newbie off the forum after his first post.

No-one is bullying anyone sunshine.. It's an observation and a valid one.

It's valid that in general only an idiot would take anything on an internet forum without a hefty pinch of salt, but you're not making a general observation, you're making an observation on this thread which can only be construed as being about the OP's post.

So, what in his post justifies your observation?

It's an interesting post, it looks to me like it is probably genuine, and I'd have been interested to see where the debate went.

I wouldn't use them again if I had a choice.

I used to buy quite a lot of stuff from them. As a result I received emails with special offers. One of these tempted me and I ordered something at a discount price. They charged my credit card with the full amount. I rang to complain but was unsuccessful in getting them to refund the difference. It wasn't a large enough sum for me to be bothered to go through the credit card company but it was annoying enough for me to think I wouldn't be rushing to use them again.
