We are staying on the boat tonight and zipping across Poole Bay early tomorrow to Cobbs Quay for a few days. It looks pretty flat up to lunchtime tomorrow.
We did indeed 'zip' across Poole Bay this morning. I have been using the RYA Safetrx app to track trips and this morning, zipping across Poole Bay early tomorrow to Cobbs Quay for a few days.

Hythe Marina lock to East Looe channel, Poole Harbour 33.1nm took 1hr 17mins averaging 26.8kts. The maximum speed was 39.6 kts with our Jeanneau MF855 with twin Yamaha 150hp outboards. I could have done it much quicker but the likely petrol consumption kept causing me to throttle back a little. We are now in a wet & windy Cobbs Quay; The WiFi is good but the TV reception is rubbish.
It was pretty much flat calm before lunch but the wind has gradually increased since then and is now pretty bad. When we were out 8.30 am - 10 am ish we saw one RIB on the Solent, nothing in Christchurch Bay and one boat fishing in Poole Bay.What was the weather like going across the bay? Many other boats out?
It looks a bit blowy out there now according to XC weather.
