Originally from South West somewhere - does anyone know the style/model? No plates on it.

It's a custom refit but the original shape may be known to someone.

Thanks.

My first reaction was home-build, probably from plans, if it is wood and ply. A very nice job! If that's the case, too many possibilities to say. However, if it is GRP that is unlikely, and someone may recognize it.

Yep, I think it is a variation on a Poole Canoe judging by various photos.

It was wooden originally but I believe hull has been redone with GRP.

Humm, looks to e like a variation on a Poole Canoe, which have flat or flattish bottoms built mainly of timber and almost invariably out board driven.
Designed and built as suitable for sheltered waters and limited depth of water under keel.
Looks very nice that one.

Almost all Poole Canoes have an engine well + tunnel with net tray. The bottoms are almost completely flat, perfect for the shallows of Poole. The sides were mostly planked either two or three high and although safe within a harbour environment were certainly not suited to any sea with more than a chop. That said a lot were home builds and these may not have had the engine well or net tray. I know this as my dad built one which is what got me into boating/fishing. Poole Canoes are still made today some out of fiberglass by Salterns Boatyard of all people and called "Poole Explorer"

I don't think your boat is a true Poole Canoe but is certainly very similar
