doel fins

has anyone ever tried them on a 4hp ?
ive got a 2.5m rib with 4hp, i can plane with me no problem. but me and the boy and it will plane just with wind behind us only !
ideally i'd like a 5 or 6 hp but just thought they make help that tiny bit and be a lot cheaper. I have tried all trim angles and am also trying to loose weight !

Yes it will work, but it will be minimal on a 4HP, but better than nothing. Better to spend the £45 on a bigger engine and then use a doel fin on it!

Tried them many years ago on a Fletcher speedboat, I fitted them to a 80hp outboard and made a big difference in performance and mpg.

So yes I would recommend.
