Not as good as sailing but pretty good say I.

Nice to make plans for next season.

Google earth is fun to use for them too.

Walk, then lunch...... nice...........

Sounds good.

Why dont you organise a closed season walk out, and we can all walk, then have lunch?
I dont mind, anywhere from the Wash to North Foreland!

There's some very pretty and interesting walks around the Wash area if anyone fancies travelling a bit further from home , though it would need working out so the watering holes weren't too far off track
I think they're planning for coastal erosion and putting the pubs well away from the sea wall , and around Holbech you need to watch out for low flying bombs

Only an ickle bit /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif but it would be a challenging sail for you lot with loads of water under your keels /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes. Happy to give it a go.

How about early January ? Things seem to go fairly quiet then and we could all probably do with some fresh air.

Thinking of somewhere reasonably central. How about starting around Heybridge area walking past, or over to Osea Island (low water sounds sensible) then lunch at Goldhanger. About 2 hours each way. Anyone wanting to walk a bit less could leave the car a bit nearer. Suggest a Saturday.

Any ideas welcome.

Sounds spot on to me.
No problem with a wander round there, and Phil Glover keeps a mean pint in Goldhanger, and likes his grub. January is a top idea.

Will go to my shed and make further plans .

Anyone bought an almanac yet for next year's tides ?

A Saturday is needed where we can still make sand castles on the causeway to Osea.

At the risk of sounding rude....

Roger, you Muppet.

I prefer the 2007 tides, they fitted the job admirably. Nothing in there that fits at all, in fact they are rubbish.

Durrr.

That's good otherwise it might have clashed with Louise' birthday /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Can we set up a calendar for events ? so we all know what's happening and when /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I know I'm a muppet - don't think that I slept well because the lash stings kept me awake.

The best I can offer is

1st Jan LW 1220
2nd Jan LW 1318
16th Feb LW 1346

One of those things with Belfield - after Dec 07 comes Jan 07 and you have to change the year manually. That's my excuse!
