Re: Try resetting to the infopop stylesheet?

Using the infopop style sheet still gives a similar problem, but at least the text is red on blue, rather than blue on blue. It only occurs on the index page, only in expanded mode and only on unread posts (though not all of them). I'll try to find a way of posting a picture of it.

Blue on Blue doesn\'t look like this does it?

Re: Change for change sake

Why unfair? As you will see from another post, it makes the index almost impossible to read. Your display may be different, but I have to judge on what my display shows, not your's.

Re: Change for change sake

So you are judging the developer to need his eyes tested on the basis of what you see on your monitor?

Instead of complaining and resorting to snides at the developers, AFrogley has done the sensible thing and exactly described the problem which no doubt may assist them to correct it.

(I can replicate the situation, XP Pro, IE6, but is still easily readable for me and is also of no issue as I do not expand indexes).

Re: Change for change sake

Yup - mine is XP Pro with IE6 ...
it looks like a nested table problem - manifesting itself as a style sheet problem

Kim - if you need I can mail u the source code I get for this screen - unless it is by design! I can read it, but then I don't use expanded view so it doesn't bother me.

Re: Try resetting to the infopop stylesheet?

Kim

I can replicate the problem (XP Pro, IE6 SP2 all updated to Microsoft's most recent "fixit Tuesday") in flat mode/expanded topics mode but only in some forums. Unlike AFrogley's picture, it does not happen ever for me in any of the in the forums listed in the YBW Forums in the main index block (PBO, SB, MoBo etc) nor Feedback. Just in some of the others such as For Sale (but not in Wanted).

For me, but again unlike AFrogley, looks as though most I get in the darker blue are posts made before the new system was launched. In any event they are quite readable with my monitor settings except for the dates.

I do not know if the forums where the problem occurs for me changes between sessions, but am shortly off to the boat where the problem (like many others) will go away but am sure to find some of a boaty nature./forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Re: Try resetting to the infopop stylesheet?

it's nice to see some substantive testing of the forums, rather than 'I've got a prob'
If the probs are with posts made before the new system went live, the style sheet incompatibility is most likely the issue, as has been seen before with users with non default colour settings

Re: Try resetting to the infopop stylesheet?

i had the black-on-blue problem on both IE and firefox under win98 but it went away in the first few hours without me taking any action.
