It sure is a nice boat but jealous? Whatever for? Its not like the sea lays out a red carpet for it and it will age just like they all do. Must be the winds and inconvenient tide times keeping you in today.

I like them, but I like anything lit up 
. I do not have one on transom because I think it would clash with lit-up name, but I have a pair of them (specials with with cold white LEDs not blue) on HT sharkfins

Thank god your boat meets the length criteria, we wouldn't want it to be tacky.
I also like the illuminated Logos', The Fairline shield and the Princess crown are very good for this, I also like the bright white leds' for this, looks great on the HT 1/4 pillars.

I like white led's as a rule of thumb to illuminate key areas, have never seen why people want to illuminate boats with blue lights etc , but each to their own

Paul, as you say, each to their own. I really like soft blue lighting in the cockpit, will be adding some to Rafiki this year.

Just to add a bit more info, the backlit shield logo is available from Fairline in white or blue, and in 12v or 24v. £358.39 + vat, supply only.

Both my Fairlines came with blue lights, hardly used them as felt a bit silly, go for white much nicer, it's just an opinion

JFM, how's is the badge constructed bearing in mind the shield logo is made up of four sections? Have you got a close-up?

Sorry Pete I owe you some close up pics. Will do; been mad busy. The Perspex block is a single piece and the 4 bits of the fairline shield are separate bits of st steel glued on
