How long have you had the engine for? - at 50hrs I presume not long. So if it still under warranty and this is the first time you have touched the anode I would have thought Beta would be your first port of call to sort it out.

Beta Marine answered some email enquiries I had about my 12 year old engine really really helpful .

They need the serial number and works number of your engine to access information about your specific engine.
