do I need to have the name on my boat

Now I know that for boats registered on the Thames I would need to have the name on it in 6" high letters.
However we will be coming on to The Thames on a visitors licence and I have always been led to believe that these count as the boat name.
Your thoughts
I guess Howard will be able to give a definitive answer.

You are correct. Visiting boats do not need to comply with the name regulations that apply to annually licensed boats and you will be given visitors licence 'plates' (paper) to display on each side and at the stern.
