DIY Wind Generator

I think there's a lot of literature about, try web page for loads of books. How ever, I would seriously consider if it's really worth while. I live abord and was thinking aout building one, but decided that to get a reliable output it wasn't worth the stress and bought a D400 for eclectic energy which has been great, enough to run a fridge when I get round to installing one! apart from that.. the ampair is great.... the rutlands are great, but not for what you are doing.
 
a while ago i look'd in to this and found that a push bike wheel could jenn a trikle charge of power to a 12v bat useing the hub type and fiting fan blades to the out side of the spokes, it woks as a mate of mine has put one together and charges his bats up in the shed but it looks mm haw to put it 'crap, and also found that this link also sells plans to the same sort of things http://www.cat.org.uk/index.tmpl as the tutors rightbooks on it.
its the university of alternitive power some thing like that.
