DIY life raft servicing

Does anyone have any advice on this? It seems the professionals are not always to be trusted.

I think, mostly, it's a pretty low-tech business. I seem to remember, though, that the final step is deflating the raft and vacuum packing it in a hermetically sealed outer before it goes back in the valise or canister. That might be a bit tricky without special kit.

Vacuum cleaner does the emptying and the packing deflation - just the polybag and sealing it to work out.

I've always gone to watch mine being done, and they do it in a dry atmosphere so if you can pack it in your volvo wit the aircon on it might be as good, otherwise the moisture levels might mean you get condensation in the poly bag in the winter.
