I suppose that there are many people sailing who have never had to learn morse but I would hope that everyone at least knows U which is sounded by gas rigs (amongst others) when there is poor visibility.

As far as I know, It's Morse for Uniform - You are steaming into danger. It's not just oil/gas rigs that use this.
