Getting anything for boats is difficult in Fuertaventura!

Where are you? I would start in Rosario, the capital. There are normally a few visitor berths in the newish marina there.

Good luck!,

There's definitely one on Lanzarote. They went home at 15:00 and we just caught them in time but had to pick up the full bottle the next day. Price very low.

If you have a bottle they can happen to fill..

Which is where transfer kits can be so useful cruising, borrow a local bottle & refill your own nice clean GRP bottles from Homebase :)

Maybe things have changed but first time cruising the Canaries many years ago even between islands the bottles were different, ended up with quite a selection of bottles & regulators ....

I've had a camping gaz 907 from a place up the hill in Puerto Rosario but didn't look too far for a refill place. (usually decant from a local bottle)
Nice spot Rosario, & nice island Fuerteventura 😎
Hi. Thanks for replying. I'll have a look for that place. Only stayed 2 nights there as we had to leave due to a fishing competition. Seems nice. Fuerteventura is great.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Was hoping not to have to go back there, even though it's very nice.

Does anybody know if there is a DISA plant on Fuerteventura where they refill different types of bottles? Thanks.
Just for info: Calle Trasmallo, 35612 Rosa de la Arena, just outside Puerto del Rosario is the DISA refill plant.
They would not refill my campingaz 907 type. They seemed happy to refill the ones with the quick release bbq type tops that others had.

Hi. Thanks for replying. They are Portuguese 907 type, not Campingaz so no one will exchange them. I was hoping DISA might be able to refill them. Might have more luck in Cape Verdes 😁

Next time splash out on one of these before leaving 😎

Buy GasBoat 4018 Go-Anywhere Adaptor Kit from SOCAL Southampton

Then just borrow a bottle from somewhere & decant into your own bottles. Last refill I did was Las Palmas GC where the guys had no problem me taking a bottle to the anchorage for an hour & returning it empty.

Definitely in Mindelo. Leave the marina pier and turn right. Walk along the front past the square with the statue......on the furthest corner is a reasonable supermarket BTW. Keep going along front and one of the shops not far from the supermarket sells 907 bottle and gas very cheap. Last time there we got a few spares. They will be old and bashed about but serviceable.

Enjoy Mindelo, I think it's great.

Spain and Portugal have Butsir, which are compatible with Camping Gaz 907 but are not accepted for swap by Camping Gaz cartel members. They're MUCH cheaper. The bottles are a darker blue and have different stamps. Occasionally someone gets away with spraypainting them in the lighter shade of blue, if they're not looking too closely at the labels :)
