In all seriousness why do the rafters have to pay the same as those attached to the pontoon. It fxxxs me off, when you are are rafted several deep it seems unfair. Do people believe that boating may be a little quieter this year?

Well, restrictions on overseas travel now mostly lifted so maybe less busy, let's hope so it was very difficult finding vistor berthing in the Solent last year. And yes we ended up rafted most times, lol. :) 20 deep at Yarmouth. Good job we didn't want to be out early. Or at all.

Rafting can be a pia, worst case has to be two out with another six boats in the raft, not on the pontoon and six crews walking across the boat, question how does a five foot 60 kilo person make so much noise.
Will it be quieter, possibly or possibly not who knows, there are too many variables, weather, travel restrictions on/off, fuel costs.

It would appear this mainly appears to be suffered by yachties.
You never get this problem when the marina can only fit two boats in each finger berth.
How do you get the shorepower to the outside boat . :)

I think getting power 3 boats out is unlikely.

I've not witnessed rafting on fingers, tends to be on pontoons the original post cited Yarmouth.

Yes well, what shall we say average beam of 7.5 metres per vessel, you need to be opposite a power point or there abouts as your 30 metre cable needs a bit of slack. Luckily I don't need to connect to power if it's just a couple of nights.

The point is that the rafters should pay less for less of an experience
Not sure I agree, what's "less of an experience" about it?

Rafting when it's not expected might be a point, but when you're visiting Yarmouth or the Dan Bran or whatever, rafting is the thing, That's how most boats get a space in these places at all. Sometimes you're inside, sometimes middle, sometimes outside, but rarely turned away.
