I have bought a new dip pole fitting for my telescopic Selden pole.

I am struggling to find anything documented that explains how it is meant to be rigged up (and how the two pulleys are meant to be used within the fitting).

I found this pic of the fitting with two lines coming out of the two pulleys - but what are they both for? Presume red toggle is an internal trip line - guessing I can’t really use that on my telescopic pole as the outboard end just has an external trip toggle?

Is the Selden telescopic meant to have a line inside to help extend it?

What about the ring on the top side? What’s that doing?

Advice appreciated!

Surely a call to your rigger or Selden might be a source of info given you have bought a new fitting? What did it replace?
Not available this weekend - so trying the community in mean time in case anyone just knows the answer.

It’s replacing a standard sprung end, as my last track has a bayonet attachment on the car instead of a loop.

I've come to the conclusion on this that I can't make use of the pulleys on my telescopic pole - and so I'll just fit the end and leave them redundant.
